| "If you can keep your head, when all around are losing theirs..." |
"We didn't do Maths and we didn't do English today! Instead we went ice-skating ...isn't that cool? When we got to the the cube, we listened to that man who told us all about safety things. Hmmm, what was his name again?
We put on our skates and helmets and went out to skate. Ahmed was the champion at falling. I was brilliant ... I only fell once. It was really funny when Jack was sliding on his stomach, ha,ha! It was an amazing day; Brilliant!"
Shuweina, age 9.
"When we saw Jack sliding on his belly we all jumped out of our socks. I wish I'd taken my trackies though, because I went back to school all wet!"
Emma, age 10.
"When I fell down, my trousers got all wet ...on my knees that is! It was a fantastic day out of school and I really enjoyed it. ...Much better than school things!"
Leah, age 10.

"When I was on the ice it was very slippery. It was impossible to move without falling. I fell over five times. Some of my friends were scared, but we still had a great time. To start off with I held the hand rail and slowly moved around the outside. When I got more confident I moved away, but kept on falling down. It was great fun." Masham, age 10. | ![]() |
"It was very painful when I fell over, but lots of fun." John, age 9 |
|
"It was great fun going round and round." Sophie, age 9 |
