The Roman Adventure

Illustration of Roman Soldiers by Mariam Khan.

In year 3, we have been writing stories and
making books for World Book Week.

It has been lots of fun.  We have written our
stories, re-drafted them and finally turned them
into books with lots of lovely drawings.
The drawings are called illustrations!

The Roman Adventure! Illustration by Mariam Khan.

Roman Adventure.

By Nicole Smith.

Ashleigh, Matthew and Jake were in Miss Book’s class.
The children liked Miss Book.

Miss Book brought a Roman doll into school.

Miss Book made everything interesting.

The children went in the hall and played Romans.
“It’s hard work being a Roman,” said Jake.

It was playtime. The children were sad because it was wet and they couldn’t play out.

When no one was looking, the children touched the Roman doll.
The children started to spin around and they felt funny.

When the children opened their eyes they could see a Roman land.
They could see Roman people everywhere.

They had shields and swords and helmets.

They stopped fighting and they all ate some pizza.

They asked the children if they would like some pizza as well.

The children went to the Roman Baths and then they saw a chariot race.

The Romans had a party and the children had more Pizza.

A nice Roman came and gave them a shield.

The shield began to glow.  The children closed their eyes and
their heads began to spin round and around.

They were back at school.

Miss Book said, “It’s time to go home.”

“What a fun day we have had,” said Jake.
