"Let's conquer the barbarians of Britain!"

Roman Visit.

By Mamadou, Year 3.

We were supposed to do maths and literacy, but today we were going to Roman World!

When we got there we met the Centurian.  He was wearing a helmet.  He showed us around the Roman Fort.  He showed us how to become Roman Soldiers. When we ready we marched out of our barracks. We trained to be soldiers.  We had wooden swords and spears.  When we had finished we marched back into our barracks.

We learnt to write in Latin and when we were done we went to a different building to make oil lamps.

First we made balls of clay and with the biggest one we stuck our thumbs in and made a cup.  We then made a lid and decorated it.  It was brilliant.

When we had finished making oil lamps we went back to the barracks and had our lunch.  Then we were ready to become school children again and went back home to school.

What a fantastic day, I wish it could always be this much fun.

"Keep those Celts away from me!" "Do the tortoise folks and attack!"
"Quick, the Centurian's not looking!"
