The Christmas Concert 2006

On Thursday 14th December 2006 the children at Shakespeare Primary School held a concert called
"One Bright Star!"

...Find out below what people thought of the concert.

"The costumes were lovely!"

One Bright Star tells the story of the birth of baby Jesus ...the Nativity story.

The wonderful production had beautiful songs, great costumes and the best choir the school has ever had!

Malvina was the spiteful, horrible King called Herod (totally different to what she's really like!)

So, what does Malvina think?

"I think being King Herod was hard, because I had to be mean which I'm not.

It took a lot of  hard work trying to keep my face straight, but I kept bursting out into a fit of giggles!

When I was in my costume somebody told me that I looked like a liqourice allsort.  Ummh nice!"

These are just a few things that people said after the show:

"It was really good. I liked Malvina playing Herod.  She made me laugh when she was dancing and swinging her arms around.  She was really scary, but also really funny!"

Kaitlyn, age 9.

"I thought the bright costumes were shiny and colourful. They were like the clothes of people in a wonderful adventure.  Mary sang beautifully and the songs were fab and sweet.  I really enjoyed singing them."

Simeranjit, age 9

"I thought it was the best show we have ever done!" said Danielle.

Mrs Stanley said, "It was a real tear jerker, absolutely lovely.  I was so proud of all the children who took part."

Everyone enjoyed the concert and parents said that it was the best ever!
