Our learning project has been 'Bright Lights, Big City ' and we have been learning about The Great Fire of London. In science we investigated what would be the best material to build a house with. We then constructed houses in our DT lessons which were used to re-enact the Great Fire of London. We took them outside and then set them alight! It started off slowly and then the wind picked up, just like what happened in The Great Fire of London and then quickly all the houses were on fire! The children were amazed with how quickly the fire spread. Finally they produced a wonderfully descriptive piece of writing recounting their experiences.
