January Parent Voice Update
Parent Voice was once again very well attended with 78 parents there. As usual we had a jam packed agenda with lots of visitors to hear from too.
We were welcomed by a stunning array of cakes and snacks from chef John and made sure we said a big thank you to him for all his efforts.
Parents spent some time discussing the move to the new school and what their biggest concerns were. Mr Gorton presented the designs from the interior designer and showed some stunning aerial photos of the building as it currently stands.
Touchstone paid us a visit to talk about the support they offer in our community which includes a b friending service, support to get back to work and winter warmers.
Our Compassionate City Award for School of the Year was presented to our parent governors Sagar and Augustin by Councillor Khan.
And last but most certainly not least, Lifelong Learning from Leeds Uni brought five very special ladies who shared a bit about their journeys from not having GCSE (or equivalent) qualifications to graduating with a degree this summer! It was very moving and extremely inspirational to all who heard it. Lots of parents signed up and watch this space for more opportunities to work with Life Long Learning!
Our Parent Voice updates are posted each half term on our Parent Voice page.
