Rev Andy Lenton Visits Year 6
On Monday, as part of RE this half-term, the Reverend Andy Lenton came to visit Y6 to talk about prayer and Christianity.
He told us why prayer is important to him and why Christians pray. We watched a brilliant video about the Chilean Miners who were trapped underground in the 2010 Copiapo accident. They prayed every day together and on day 17, their prayers were answered when they were found.
Rev Andy is one of the Pastors at nearby Bridge Community Church. We asked him lots of questions about being a Pastor. He said that the best thing about his job is that every day is different. We also asked him about his favourite motorbike - a Ducati, his favourite food (seafood) and his favourite music - rock music. He was really interesting and funny. We hope he comes again soon!
