Shakespeare Show Off Their Moves for Children in Need
Shakespeare took part in a ‘Danceathon’ and sold red noses to raise lots of money for Comic Relief.
Following a discussion with School Council, Shakespeare Primary School chose to support Comic Relief this year by asking children and staff to take part in a ‘Danceathon’ on Friday 15th March during the school day in exchange for a donation of 50p. The enthusiasm of staff and pupils during the day was incredible and everyone thoroughly enjoyed taking part in the dancing.
Update: We are delighted to announce that we raised an amazing £507 for Comic Relief! Well done everyone!
Miss Nelson, Year 6 LSA said “ It was a great way to get all the children involved while raising money for charity.”
The whole school joined in at different times during the day, wearing their red noses that School Council had been selling during the week.
Jodie, a Year 6 pupil said, “ I just enjoyed all of it!” while Rui in Year 4 said “ It was so much fun and very exciting! My favourite dances were the Cha Cha Slide and Baby Shark.”
Thank you to School Council for organising the event and for all their help in selling the red noses.
Take a look at our moves and let us know what you think!
