A very successful Ofsted report for Shakespeare Primary School and Nursery
We have received our report from Ofsted following their visit to school on the 9th January. We are very pleased that they continue to grade us as a Good school with many areas that they comment on very positively.
Extracts from the report include
'The atmosphere in lessons and around the school is marked by politeness, kindness and mutual understanding'
'You have not lost sight of the absolute necessity to put your pupils at the heart of all you do'
'You know your community well and respond to its needs'
'Pupils are not only skilled readers but develop a love of reading'
'The strong relationships which you have with parents and carers are a real strength of the school'
'You have put in place a stimulating and interesting curriculum'
'Reading suffuses the life of the school'
'Overall attendance is above the national average'
They have also given us some next steps; advising us to continue to focus on improving reading skills and to further develop our curriculum beyond English, mathematics and science.
