EYFS Lockdown Learning
The children and families in Early Years continue to amaze us with the fantastic effort they are putting in to keep the children learning, and sharing this on Tapestry for us to see. We have had record numbers of observations posted in the last week!
This week the children have enjoyed lessons filmed by their own class teachers, and we have been blown away with the work that has been sent back to us! It has seen the start of our live sessions, which have been hugely successful and it's lovely to see the children’s faces!
In Reception we have seen super learning from following instructions to build robots with materials in the home, writing reviews about Superworm, using a part-whole model to calculate number bonds to ten, and practising daily blending and segmenting in phonics, wow! What busy and hardworking children we have.
The 3-4s Nursery children have also been very busy sorting objects in the home by size, colour and shape, preparing them to be wonderful mathematicians. They have also worked very hard with their funky fingers challenges to develop their fine motor skills ready for drawing and writing! Also, our youngest children in the school in the 2-3s Nursery have listened to the story Little Red Riding Hood and explored the local area looking for the wolf!
Thank you to all our families for the continued support, effort and engagement. We are thrilled to see our youngest learners so full of enthusiasm and learning power!
