Virtual Cricket Skills Festival
Over the past half term, children in KS2 at Shakespeare have been working in partnership with our fantastic Active Schools Team as well as Yorkshire Cricket Board to deliver an amazing Virtual Cricket Skills Festival. The event launched on Friday 25th September, with a deadline for results handed in on 27th November.
The competition consists of 7 stations created to develop batting and fielding cricket skills. Teams complete each station, and then log their score on the team scorecard. It has been amazing to see the fantastic skill development that the children have shown over the past few weeks and we will be continuing to develop these skills over the weeks in the run-up to Christmas, even though the competition has ended.
The schools with the highest score recorded in all age groups Y3,4,5 & 6 will be awarded with the 1st place certificate and medals and everyone in Years 3-6 have their fingers crossed after some amazing scores.
