The Governors are seeking to employ a Learning Support Assistant.  This will be a permanent position. Required to start as soon as possible.

Shakespeare Primary School and Nursery is looking to employ talented and committed Learning Support Assistant to start or further their career with us. Shakespeare Primary School and Nursery is an expanding and thriving school in which support staff play a critical role in securing excellent outcomes for children. You will need to have a positive outlook and attitude, a child-focussed approach to meeting children’s needs and a commitment to working as part of a team. Crucially, you will have a passion for children’s learning, development and personal care.

 You must be a highly motivated individual with good Maths and English skills (GCSE Grade C or above). We work with all our Learning Support Assistants to ensure they are highly skilled and able to work with children of all ages, levels and abilities; including those with significant special educational needs. In return we offer high quality training and support to ensure our staff are well equipped for the role expected of them.

 The school has a strong inclusive ethos and holds the Inclusion Charter Mark and Stephen Lawrence Award.  In a recent OFSTED inspection, the school was judged as good and the contribution of support staff was identified as a significant strength. The post would be suitable for both aspiring teachers and candidates seeking to build a career in classroom support. We are looking to appoint a professional, positive and motivated Bursar, who can manage the school’s finances, HR systems and administration and provide daily operational support to our thriving school.

It is an exciting time to join us as we continue to develop our new school building and expand our operations team to further support teaching and learning. We are looking for an individual who demonstrates excellent financial awareness, is focussed on providing outstanding customer service and can support the Business Manager with wider operational issues.

The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator with great interpersonal skills. You will have relevant experience of working in a finance role, possess excellent IT skills and have experience of reviewing and developing financial and HR systems and procedures. As a key member of the operations team, you will have the confidence to use your own initiative to make decisions which will positively impact upon service levels. This is a varied and interesting role, where a willingness to be involved in wider school activities is essential.

The role offers a permanent contract, subject to the successful completion of a six month probation period, 37.5 hours per week working Monday to Friday between 8am-4pm. You will work during school term time plus 10 additional days.
