Non-uniform day- Monday 24th April

Following the celebration of Eid-Al-Fitr that many of our children and families will be taking part in this weekend, we will be taking the opportunity on Monday 24th April to shine a light on this special celebration.

Having taken inspiration from one of the key messages of Eid-al-Fitr, our school community will be sharing in the spirit of charity that is part of the Eid festival by holding a non-uniform day on Monday 24th April. We would like to invite all children to attend school in clothes they would wear for a celebration. If you are able to, please make a £1 (cash) donation which will be donated to a local charity chosen by the School Council.

We will also some spend time in the day learning more about Eid-Al-Fitr through a variety of activities. These will include listening to the children’s experiences of their Eid celebrations, watching a video and giving older children the chance to talk to younger children about Eid-Al-Fitr. We also hope that our local Councillor, Asgar Khan, will be visiting classrooms in the afternoon.
