Y2 Thackray Museum Visit
Year 2 enjoyed an exciting visit to the Thackray Museum as part of our project Queens of the Past, where we explored what life was like during Queen Victoria’s era. We began the day with a workshop all about Victorian life, examining fascinating artefacts and even dressing up as Victorians to fully immerse ourselves in the experience.

We then ventured down Disease Street, where the children discovered what Leeds looked like in Victorian times through a hands-on exploration of a Victorian house, a butcher’s shop and even a privy!

After this, the children explored the museum, learning about the history of medicine by dressing up as doctors and visiting the innovation space, where they designed their own Lego structures. It was a fun, interactive day that the children absolutely loved!
