Y3 Discovery Centre
Year 3 had an exciting visit to the Discovery Centre as part of our topic “Beneath Our Feet”. On the way, we enjoyed a sight-spotting learning walk, exploring our local area and noticing the features around us before arriving at the museum.
Once there, we separated into groups to investigate a variety of rocks, including real-life fossils, and drew detailed diagrams of our findings. We learned about the composition of different rocks, how they are formed, and where certain types can be found, deepening our understanding of the world beneath our feet in a fun and hands-on way.
