Year Three Trip to Temple Newsam.
A great time was had by all at Temple Newsam on 23rd June. It was a sweltering day, but we stayed cool in the shade. We thoroughly enjoyed building dens for minibeasts and identifying leaves and colour in nature.

The highlight of the day was climbing a tree (one of the Shakespeare 60) and hugging quite a few too. We also sketched trees and collected leaves, fir cones and seeds for an Andy Goldsworthy inspired collage back at school in the afternoon.

We have been talking about sustainability this half term and we learned about the Countryside Code before we trip. We felt very proud as we left that we will continue to inspire others to be active citizens and take care of our wonderful world. Mrs Beer and the Green Team will be very pleased with us.
