Year 3’s Festive Visit to the Burmantofts Senior Action Group

On Thursday 15th December, some of our Year 3 students were lucky enough to be invited to sing at the Burmantofts Senior Action group Christmas party. With this in mind, the students created moving Christmas cards, as part of their Design Technology unit on Levers and Linkages, to sell to their friends or family members to raise some money for BSA. The students were welcomed warmly by Shirley and everyone else who attended the festivities. The children did an absolutely incredible job, from their rendition of ‘Feliz Navidad’ to ‘It must be Santa’. It really was a spectacular show and the BSA members were filled with joy and well-wishes for our fantastic students.

The students were able to perform again for parents on Friday 16th December and performed with as much, if not more, energy and enthusiasm. Through the sale of their Christmas cards, the students were able to raise £47.85 which was gratefully received by the BSA. Our visit was so successful that we will be continuing to work with the BSA throughout the rest of the year, which will include an Easter bonnet event and a project related to saving the bees.
