Y5 Allotment Visit
Year Five enjoyed a visit to Osmondthorpe Allotments. The walk from school took nearly an hour, giving us the chance to see lots of the city along the way. When we arrived, we stopped for a quick lunch before splitting into three groups to explore with the kind volunteers.
We tasted delicious fruit and vegetables grown at the allotments, fed the chickens and learned how to care for plants in a sustainable way. It was lovely to see where food grows and to learn from the people who look after the allotments.
