Y5 Ice Skating
Year 5 had an unforgettable time this week on their exciting ice-skating trip to The Ice Cube in Millennium Square, right in the heart of Leeds. From the moment the children arrived, the atmosphere was buzzing with excitement and anticipation.

The session began with a clear safety briefing, helping everyone feel confident and ready to take part. The children then practised walking carefully in their ice skates, supporting one another and showing great determination. When they first stepped onto the ice, there were a few nervous smiles and plenty of hands gripping the railings around the edge of the rink.

However, it wasn’t long before confidence began to grow. One by one, the children let go of the sides and started skating independently, gliding around the rink with huge grins on their faces. There were lots of laughs, cheers and moments of pride as skills improved and bravery shone through.
By the end of the session, Year 5 were skating with confidence and enjoying every second of the experience. It was wonderful to see such enthusiasm, resilience and teamwork on display. The trip was a huge success, and it is safe to say that everyone had a fantastic time and made memories that will last a lifetime.
