Y6 Eden Camp Visit
As part of our exciting history project, WWII: A Child's View, Year 6 enjoyed a memorable visit to Eden Camp Modern History Museum.

Throughout the day, pupils stepped back in time and explored what life was like during the Second World War. The museum's immersive huts and realistic exhibits helped bring history to life, allowing children to experience the sights, sounds and stories of wartime Britain. From learning about evacuation and rationing to discovering how families coped during air raids, the visit provided valuable insight into the experiences of children living through the war.
The pupils were particularly engaged by the interactive displays and authentic artifacts, which helped deepen their understanding of the topics studied in their History lessons. They asked thoughtful questions, made links to their learning and demonstrated excellent curiosity throughout the day.
As well as developing their historical knowledge, the trip encouraged pupils to reflect on the resilience, courage and determination shown by people during this challenging period in history.
