At Shakespeare ‘We Are Scientists’. Through our Science curriculum teachers enable children to think, do and talk about Science. They make links across and within science themes and year groups. We fully explore opportunities in Science that reinforce our golden themes. In particular, social justice & equality, sustainable development and diversity. Within our local Science community, we forge strong partnerships, making connections through a planned sequence of Scientist study, visitors to school and visits to a variety of places.
Children explore key concepts as they move through the school. Our curriculum is laid out in such a way that the children will build on key concepts as they progress through school, although not all substantive concepts are taught in each year group. Most key concepts are revisited at least once, and some are covered in each year.
