Ward Councillor for Burmantofts and Richmond Hill.

I am honoured to serve as a LEA Governing Board member at Shakespeare Primary School for a number of years now and I am thoroughly enjoying the experience. I have been a City Councillor for 14 years, representing Burmantofts and Richmond Hill ward in Leeds City Council, as well as having the role of Chair to Strategy and Resources Scrutiny Board. I aim to ensure that every child has a happy and successful time at our school and endorse a universal ambition that allows our children, regardless of their background or starting point, to feel safe, valued and become confident, resilient learners who are inspired by their environment and our curriculum offer. I enjoy travelling and reading in my spare time.
