School Sport Competitions
Below are the school sports fixtures for the year along with results for competitive events. The times shown are start and finish times of events, not the times that children leave and return to school.
We aim to provide children with the opportunities to compete in a variety of sports so that they can apply their skills and further develop them. It also allows them to interact with children from a variety of schools in different settings, continuing to develop their social and emotional skills.
Successes and achievements for this year:
- We are pleased to announce that we have received the Platinum School Games Award for the 4th consecutive year – given for our continued high participation in events and providing children with as many opportunities as possible but also for our work on developing physical literacy across school
- 26 after-school clubs, providing over 400 free places to children
Football
4 football leagues entered: U11, U10, U9 and Girls
Girls football team – winners of the Leeds NE League and runners up in the Champions League
U11 Boys – third place in the Leeds African Cup of Nations
Netball
Winners of the Leeds NE Netball league progressing to the City Finals
Winners of the Leeds Well Schools Netball tournament qualifiers
Tag Rugby
Winners of the Girls Tag Rugby qualifiers and third place in the City Finals
Boys third place in Tag Rugby tournament
Both teams won the Leeds Fair Play Award for showing fantastic sportsmanship values
Table Tennis
Both the U11 Girls and Boys teams – West Yorkshire Champions
U11 Boys team – Regional Champions
U11 Boys team – 4th place at the English National Finals
Skipping
3 Skipping Festivals: Y2, Y3 and Y4
Y2 – winners of the Skipping Finals
SEND
2nd place at the Inclusive Multi-Skills Event
3 inclusive events entered for our SEND children and an experience day for some children to attend at Headingley Stadium.

- Winners of Table Tennis England’s Pride of Table Tennis School of the Year Award
- Highly Commended at the Leeds Sports Awards (we won the School of the Year in 2024)
